The Aspire AS8943G belongs to the Aspire Ethos line. It is available in two configurations: the AS8943G-6190 and AS8943G-6782. Both models have an Intel Core i7 720QM CPU, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 graphics with 1GB of video card, a 500GB hard drive, a Blu-ray Combo drive, and an 8-cell battery which should power the machine for up to 3 hours. While the AS8943G-6190 ships with 4GB of DDR3 memory,the AS8943G-6782 has 8GB. Both models support up to 16GB of memory.
Other features include five integrated speakers, a dedicated subwoofer, Dolby Home Theatre Audio, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, chiclet style keyboard with dedicated number pad, a fingerprint reader, WiFi 802.11n, four USB ports and HDMI and VGA outputs. The dual mode touchpad has capacitive touch media controller icons for switching between multi-gesture mode to media console mode.
