The Acer Aspire 721 is now available for purchase. Amazon has started selling the notebook for $429.99 plus free shipping. The Aspire 721 is an 11.6 inch thin and light notebook with an AMD chipset.
The laptop was introduced last month. It is powered by a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon II Neo processor and ATI Radeon HD 4255 graphics with 384 MB of dedicated video RAM.
Other specifications include a 250GB hard drive, 2GB of memory, 3 USB ports, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a 4400mAh battery. The 11.6 inch display has 1366 x 768 pixels.
The Acer Aspire 721 weighs 3.1 pounds. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
