Acer has updated its 11.6 inch Aspire TimelineX 1830T thin and light laptops with Intel's Core i-Series processors. The TimelineX 1830T originally shipped with Intel core 2 Solo processors. Now Acer is offering the ultraportable with your choice of an Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processors. The updated models have prices ranging between $600 and $900.
The base model which is now available from Amazon for $599.99 has a 1.2GHz Intel Core i3 processor, a 320GB hard drive, 3GB of memory and a 5800mAh battery. It has an 11.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium. It measures 1.1 inches in thickness and weighs around 3.1 pounds.
If you are willing to shell out an extra 100 bucks, you will get a 1.2GHz Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive.
The top of the line model has a 1.4GHz Intel Core i7-680 ULV processor, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. It runs $899.99. It is not in stock at the moment. All three configurations come with 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, VGA, HDMI, 3 USB 2.0 ports and a 1.3MP webcam.
