ACER ANNOUNCES BUDGET FRIENDLY NOTEBOOKS WITH INTEL AND AMD PROCESSORS

Acer has announced two new laptops for consumers on a budget. The 15.6″ Aspire 5741 (AS5741) and the 17.3-inch Aspire 7741 (AS7741) are available with Intel's Core i5, i3, as well as AMD Phenom II, Athlon II, Turion II, and AMD V Series CPUs. It should be noted that these are not official model names and may change by the time the laptops hit the market.


The new Aspire notebooks feature rounded edges and textured mesh lids. Other specifications include 4GB of DRR3 RAM, up to 500GB hard drives, WiFi 802.11n and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. Select models are available with ATI Radeon 5470 or 5650 dedicated graphics and Blu-ray drives.

The new Acer Aspire notebooks are expected to be available later this month. Prices range between $429.99 to $899.99.
